Corrections and updates
Last reviewed:
We sometimes get things wrong, and technology changes constantly. This policy explains how we correct errors and when we update articles.
How to report an error
Email nachomasedacanseco@gmail.com with the subject "Correction", including:
- The article (title or link).
- The passage you think is wrong.
- If possible, a source showing why.
What we do with each report
- We review it and check the information against the sources.
- If there's an error, we fix it as soon as possible.
- If the correction changes the meaning of the article, a relevant fact or a tutorial step, we add a correction note at the end of the article explaining what changed and when.
- Minor slips (spelling, broken links, formatting) are fixed without a note.
Updates
Articles about apps, services and hardware can go out of date when menus, plans or features change. So:
- We flag them with a notice when their information depends on specific versions.
- When we review an article and change its content meaningfully, we update the updated date and the verification date.
- We don't change an article's date unless we've changed its content.
Removing content
We only remove an article if its information has become obsolete and can't be updated, or if it breaches our editorial policy. Where possible, we redirect its address to an equivalent article.
