Editorial policy

Last reviewed:

This policy explains how NEXOTECH content is produced and the commitments we make to readers.

Our goal

To publish guides that solve specific problems clearly, usefully and verifiably. We write for readers — not for search engines or advertisers.

How we choose topics

We start from real questions people ask about technology: how to do something, why something fails, how to choose a product. Before writing, we define the problem each article solves, who it's for and how it differs from our other articles, so we don't repeat ourselves.

Sources and verification

  • We prefer primary sources: official manufacturer documentation, help centres, public bodies and technical standards.
  • Every article includes a sources section with links.
  • We distinguish between stable information, information that depends on a product version (flagged as such in the text), and claims that need checking before publication.
  • Articles with frequently changing information show a notice and, once reviewed, the verification date.

Use of artificial intelligence

NEXOTECH articles are written with the help of AI tools. Before each article is published:

  1. Factual claims, steps and links are checked against the cited sources, including with automated tools.
  2. Anything that can't be verified is corrected or removed.
  3. The site owner approves publication. Some articles also get a full manual review; we keep expanding and reviewing the catalogue.

Articles that haven't been through this review are not published.

What we don't do

  • We don't invent authors, testimonials, ratings, product tests, prices or personal experiences.
  • We don't publish product rankings we haven't been able to evaluate; our buying guides explain criteria.
  • We don't accept payment to change an article's content or conclusions.
  • We don't use third-party images without a licence. Article covers are original illustrations generated by the site itself.

Dates

  • The publication date is the real date an article was published.
  • The updated date only appears when content has changed meaningfully.

Authorship

Articles are credited to the NEXOTECH Editorial Team, identifying the editorial team responsible for the site. If individual authors contribute, they'll be identified by their real name, with their consent.

Independence and advertising

Advertising is managed separately from content. More in advertising and commercial relationships.
